The Foraging Quail opened its doors on the 23rd of April 2014. Within the first year we took out Best New Restaurant in Queensland in the Brisbane Times “Good Food Guide” and were awarded our first Chef Hat. Head chef and owner, Minh Le put a strong emphasis on using sustainable, organic produce with a high focus on seasonal foods. The Foraging Quail offers a up market family style dining experience with modern Asian share plates. Food that we can appreciate at home in a restaurant setting. Le is Bringing his Vietnamese heritage into the kitchen giving dinners a modern version of some of his favourite dishes that his family cooked at home.

The Foraging Quail will be closing it doors after the 25th of September. We be opening a new Venue call Umami on the corner of Ann and Burke street in the Chinatown mall. Shop 2, 624 Ann street, Fortitude Valley. Umami will be opened on the 11th of October. Open from Tuesday to Sunday 5pm to late.
